Notes: Start Clean, finish clean. I can not stress how important it is to work in a clean and sanitary working environment. Keep on hand a spray bottle filled with alcohol to spray your utensils prior to using.
Sterilize all items you will be working with by washing in really warm water with Clorox bleach. Watch out for your clothes.
Use on Glass, aluminum utensils to work with plastic harbors germs and is difficult to sterilize.
Lay out a generous spread of clean paper towels to lay your utensils on while working.
Suggested Working Utensils: Aluminum Spoons for stirring, Glass Picture for making body wash a large one is nice so you will have plenty product to work with. A mixer with stainless blades. If you can find a stainless stick blender they are really nice for blending your lotions.
Perfumers Blend - Use to make body mists, perfumes, colognes, aftershaves and toners. Part out the amount of PB you desire to use for each scent you plan to make. Add your fragrance oil and color if you would like shake and pour in to your bottles. Your product should be crystal clear like what you buy from the dept store.
Water Base Body Mist Base - Use to make an alcohol free moisturizing body mist, or toner. Part out the amount of WBBMB you desire to use for each scent you plan to make. Add your fragrance oil and color if you would like shake and pour in to your bottles. This base may not be clear and should be used in dark bottles, perhaps silver aluminum bottles.
WNBC Lotion& Crème Bases: Use to make lotions, crèmes, and moisturizers. In a clean bowl part out the amount of base you want to use for each scent. Add your fragrance in amount from 1-3% depending on your desired strengths. You may color if you would like. Stir and fill your jars or bottles. If your lotion is too thick to pour you may gently heat it up but do not over heat or boil. If you do you could destroy your preservative system and ruin your product.
WNBC Shower Gels Bases Use to make shower gels. In a clean measuring utensil part out the amount of base you want to use for each scent. Add in your fragrance from .5 to 1% depending on your desired strengths. You may color if you would like. Stir and fill your jars or bottles. If you add to much fragrance you may thin your product to much. Start by using the least amount. Then gradually add more fragrance.
Extracts: Use to make skin loving products as in anti-aging lotions, crèmes and serums.In a clean measuring utensil part out the amount of base you want to use for each product. Gently blend in your extracts and specialty ingredients. Stir and fill your jars or bottles.
